The IIA Oman chapter recently organized a seminar on Latest Developments in Internal Audit. The seminar was facilitated by Mr. Larry Hubbard. Mr. Larry is a professional trainer & consultant with a broad background in accounting, auditing & finance. His experiences include audit management, information systems, financial & operational auditing, financial reporting, consulting & training. He is a frequent Author, Course Leader & Speaker for the Institute of Internal Auditors. He is also the author of ‘Control Self Assessment – A Practical Guide’. The seminar objectives were to provide an update on current events in internal auditing, Discuss current & best practices for auditors, Increase skills in leading audits & performing risk assessments etc. The seminar was packed with new ideas for all Chief Auditors who attended this one full day event. The attendees could also measure their own department against the best practices & current practices introduced by the course author. The event concluded on a high note with the IIA Oman chapter receiving positive feedback regards the event Director & the topics discussed from all attendees of the seminar. The seminar was well received by all.
