Canadian Wins Victor Z Brink Award!
At the IIA’s International Conference in Houston, Carman Lapointe-Young was presented with the prestigious Victor Z Brink Award. This is a tremendous honour recognizing individuals for “unusual and outstanding service to the profession of internal auditing through participation in IIA activities”. Carman is particularly worthy of this award as she has contributed so much to our profession and the institute for many many years. I cannot provide a complete list of her accomplishments but such a list is breathtaking . . . certainly one highlight was her election as IIA Chairman of the Board for 1994 (the first female Chairman for the Institute). Even after that achievement, she has remained a guiding force and significant volunteer up to today.
A more comprehensive announcement will be on the IIA website shortly.
Congratulations Carman and thank you for your outstanding contribution!
