The Board of the New Orleans Chapter of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners has been actively involved in re-establishing a chapter in this area again. Now more than ever, New Orleans needs informed professionals who want to help root out fraud and corruption.
Our first meeting will be kicked off by New Orleans ACFE Board Member and guest speaker Robert Cerasoli, Inspector General of New Orleans. Mr. Cerasoli will be discussing Investigating Public Fraud and Corruption. The meeting is Wednesday, March 19, 2008 at 5 Happiness Restaurant (Imperial Room) located at 3605 S. Carrollton Avenue from 11:30 am to 1:00 pm. The cost for this luncheon is $30 and we will accept payment at the door (check written to "New Orleans ACFE") or online at www.neworleansacfe.org. Register now because seating is limited.
We are looking for new chapter members. You should strongly consider joining our team if you are:
" A member of law enforcement who works in white collar crimes or fraud divisions,
" Legislative Auditors, Attorney General's Office, Federal Offices, OIG Divisions,
" Local professionals in the accounting, finance, investigative or audit fields,
" Professors or students at Universities who teach or are enrolled in business, accounting, audit, finance, sociology, ethics, fraud, public government, criminology and auditing courses,
" Consulting or service companies engaged in fraud prevention, detection and/or consulting,
" Other industries interested in fraud prevention; i.e. insurance, banking, mortgage brokers, casinos, retail, loss prevention, etc.
Membership Annual Dues:
$20 for current Certified Fraud Examiners
$30 for National Associate Members
$10 for Student Affiliates
