Spring 2008 CIA Exam Review Course

The San Francisco, San Jose and Northern California East Bay chapters of the IIA are pleased to offer the Bay Area 2008 Spring CIA exam review course, from May 5 - 7, 2008!  Don’t miss this great opportunity to prepare for the first Computer Based Testing (CBT) exam.  

The CIA exam review course will be instructed by Ron LaPlante.  Ron is a CIA, CFSA, CPA, CFM, CFE.  Ron has conducted numerous CIA review classes in California since 2000 and has a high pass rate.   Ron was our exam review course instructor last year for our joint chapters event and received raved reviews from all attendees.

Part I – The Internal Audit Activity's Role in Governance, Risk, and Control – 8am to 12pm Monday 5/5/08; 

Part II – Conducting the Internal Audit Engagement – 1pm to 5pm Monday 5/5/08;

Part III – Business Analysis and IT – 8am to 5pm Tuesday 5/6/08 and 8am to 12pm Wednesday 5/7/08;

Part IV – Business Management Skills – 1pm to 5pm Wednesday 5/7/08. 

 

Check In/Meals/CPE:

Sign-in will begin at 7:45 AM and classes will start promptly at 8:00 AM each day.  Your registration fee includes lunch which will be provided on site each day.  CPE certificates will also be provided to all attendees.

 

Fees:  IIA Member Price:  $100 per part for Parts I and II, $125 for Part III, $50 for Part IV ($375 total)

           Non-Member Price:  $110 per part for Parts I and II, $135 for Part III, $60 for Part IV ($415 total)

 

Fees Discount : If you took Ron LaPlante’s class last Oct-07 in San Francisco and would like to repeat any of the CIA exam sections with him this time in San Mateo, you will be charged only $35 per part.

Class Materials: On the day of class, the instructor will hand out questions, notes, and copies of printed exam questions that are relevant to all four parts. These include CAE, audit committee, situational questions in accounting, accounting questions themselves, statistics, economics, and the 2004 sample exam for part 4 only.  No GLEIM books or CDs will be provided.
