President's Message

November 2006

Thanks once again to all of you for your continued support to the IIA San Jose chapter.  Below is an update on our chapter activities.

Fall Conference:

I would like to thank the organizing committee for putting together a great show at the conference held on September 29, 2006. I hope those of you who attended the conference enjoyed it. The conference was attended by more than 125 participants and was supported by 9 sponsors.  Stay tuned for the next conference coming up sometime in March.

Social Event:

We are proposing to organize a networking social for our membership. Date, time and location are being worked out, and we will share the details with you very soon. This will provide an excellent opportunity for our members to interact with peers. I hope to meet many of you at this event.

Auditor-for-a-Day Program:

Our chapter is once again organizing the very popular Auditor-for-a-Day program. This event is held twice a year in the spring and fall and is designed to give local university students an opportunity to learn first hand about the audit profession. Some of the valley companies host and sponsor students. Please encourage your organizations to sponsor this event. I welcome any suggestions that would help continue excellence for our chapter. We will continue to work together to make our chapter a successful chapter similar to previous years.
