The University of North Florida (UNF) has an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated auditing professional. The incumbent will be part of a small audit shop and will gain unique exposure to many aspects of the audit process.
THE ORGANIZATION

YOUR ROLE
You will participate in integrated audits, consulting engagements and special investigations across multiple campus units. Specific duties include but are not limited to the following:
-Designing internal audit programs based on the identification and evaluation of risks.
-Leading or conducting performance, operational, financial, information technology and/or compliance audit projects;
-Providing consulting services to the organization's management and staff;
-Providing key input to development of the risk-based annual internal audit plan.
-Providing training and coaching to internal audit staff.
-Preparing clear and concise working papers (including sufficient documentation to support audit procedures, issues and conclusions) organized in accordance with departmental policy.
-Communicating recommendations to management during and at the conclusion of engagements.
-Maintaining all organizational and professional ethical standards and ensures all internal audit activities carried out or supervised are in compliance with The IIA's International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards).
-Working independently under general supervision with some latitude for initiative and independent judgment.
-Pursuing professional development opportunities, including external and internal training and professional association memberships, and shares information gained with co-workers.
-Representing internal auditing on organizational project teams, at management meetings, and with external organizations.
-Performing related work as assigned by audit management.
YOUR PROFILE
Required Qualifications
-Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and Three years of full-time experience in internal auditing, external auditing, operations, accounting, or program evaluation.
OR
-Master degree from an accredited college or university and one year of full-time experience in internal auditing, external auditing, operations, accounting, or program evaluation.
Minimum: -Active Certified Internal Auditor designation (CIA) or actively pursuing the certification.
Preferred Qualifications
-Five years of full-time experience in internal auditing, external auditing, operations, accounting, or program evaluation.
-One year of supervisory or project management experience.
-Knowledge of management information systems terminology, concepts, and practices.
-Knowledge of contemporary risk management and control techniques and control frameworks.
-Skill in conducting quality control reviews of audit work products.
-Considerable computer skills, including word processing, spreadsheet, systems documentation, audit packages, and other business software to prepare work papers, reports, memos, summaries, and analyses.
-Considerable skill in effective verbal and written communications, including active listening skills and skill in presenting findings and recommendations for improvement.
