NC STATE UNIVERSITY SEEKS IT AUDITOR The NC State University Internal Audit Division (IAD) seeks an IT auditor with a wide variety of work experience and the ability to integrate that experience into a comprehensive audit approach. The successful candidate will be able to:
IAD’s mission is to support the University in the successful achievement of its strategic goals. This is accomplished by serving as an independent partner to executive management, faculty, and staff in the identification and balancing of their units’ risks through objective, flexible, and proactive audit and consultation services. IAD provides independent evaluation of the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes and makes recommendations for improvement. Much of IAD’s work is focused toward assessing efficiency and effectiveness in processes and internal controls, the promotion of appropriate best practices, evaluation of regulatory and policy compliance, and the prevention and investigation of potential misuse of state and university assets. With more than 34,000 students and nearly 8,000 faculty and staff, North Carolina State University is a comprehensive university known for its leadership in education and research, and globally recognized for its science, technology, engineering and mathematics leadership. As a major research university, NC State has the people —from undergraduate and graduate students to faculty — and the responsibility to advance knowledge, transfer technology, and discover and develop innovations that solve some of the world’s most pressing problems.
