The University of Maryland's Robert H. Smith School of Business is accepting applications for the Smith Master of Science in Business Accounting program. Developed by Smith's internationally renowned accounting faculty in consultation with the "big four" public accounting firms and other accounting professionals, the program will prepare you for the expanded role accountants play in consulting, information management and strategic planning. With a focus on internal auditing, the program could also provide academic credits applicable toward the CPA education requirements of your jurisdiction (please see your jurisdiction's requirements). The curriculum features an action learning project and covers such topics as: forensic accounting/auditing; business ethics; financial statement analysis; managerial accounting; information security, audit and control; business communications; negotiations; and internal auditing. Classes meet on Saturdays for 15 months.
