SAVE THIS DATE - March 9th

The San Diego chapter is hosting an all-day seminar titled “Economic Outlook: Risk, Reform and Recovery – Implications for Internal Audit” on Tuesday, March 9th at the Handlery Hotel. This is the same day of the March lunch meeting, so seminar attendees may join the regular meeting for lunch. The seminar cost, which includes registration for the monthly lunch meeting, is $99/members and $119/non-members. Attendees will earn 8 CPE credits. Additional details will be available and registration will open on February 10th.

For information on Accounting Day 2010, click on the logo.  This is an excellent event, provides valuable CPE credit at a reasonable cost and helps the San Diego IIA Chapter in the areas of CAP points.

Certification Exam Question Writers
Institute leaders or members who wish to write questions for the Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA®), Certification in Control Self-Assessment® (CCSA®), Certified Government Auditing Professional® (CGAP®), and Certified Financial Services Auditor® (CFSA®) exams should complete the application below.

Writers are paid US $50 for each multiple-choice question that is accepted.

  • In addition to payment, writers may request to have 10 Chapter Achievement Program (CAP) credits awarded to their local IIA institute/chapter.
  • In lieu of payment, writers may choose to receive three hours of Continuing Professional Education (CPE) per accepted question. (Item writing is included under the publications category for CPE, which allows a maximum of 50 hours to be earned in that category for each two-year period.)

Complete this application online and click "Send Now" at the bottom of the page, or send a printed copy by fax to +1-407-937-1313. You will be contacted via e-mail when item writing sessions become available.
