The IIA Sacramento Chapter offers exciting opportunities and some of the most cost effective educational opportunities for auditing professionals. The Institute of Internal Auditors is registered with The National Association of State Boards of Accountancy (NASBA) as a sponsor of continuing professional education on the National Registry of CPE Sponsors. Program overview: 
Cyber security is one of the hottest buzzwords in the last five years. Companies, government, celebrities, - virtually everyone has been the victim of cyber hacking in the past year. Cyber security is not the wave of the future; it is a response to a clear and present danger.

The federal government has recently provided guidance on disclosing cyber breaches and cyber security risks for publically traded companies.  Previously, only banks and healthcare firms have typically addressed this issue. New guidelines are covering all cyber attacks - whether the incidents involve customers or intellectual property.

Chapter Breakfast Meetings are held on a regular basis from 8:00 am - 10:30 am. The Networking Breakfast begins at 7:30 am. Meetings include an opportunity to network with other auditing professionals.
