Help us earn GOLD status this year!!!

The chapter needs your help in obtaining points to earn GOLD status this year.  One of the ways the chapter earns points in the Chapter Achievement Program (CAP) is by members performing service to the profession.   In the past year have you:

  • Have you published or submitted any articles to the IIA magazine?
  • Have you published any audit related articles with other professional publications?
  • Do you have any speaking/training engagements where participants earned CPE?
  • Have you participated on an IIA-sponsored Quality Review Team?
  • Have you participated in any Junior Achievement program or event?

If you answered yes to any of these questions or need clarification, please email us (Migliaccio2005@gmail.com or wynnepatrick@gmail.com) with the details.

Please Give Us Your Feedback!!

We need your help in planning our activities and programs for the coming year. We also need your feedback on the Chapter to assess and continually improve our service to you. Below is a link to the NOVA IIA annual survey.  Your timely response to this brief survey will make it possible to schedule quality programs and seminars of value and interest to the Chapter membership.

We appreciate your feedback and hope to see you at upcoming events!

Recruit A Colleague Campaign!

The most effective form of membership recruitment is peer to peer -- one internal audit professional talking with another about the benefits of membership in The IIA. That's why we are inviting you to take part in the new year-round Recruit-A-Colleague membership program. The program is simple – recruit your colleagues, reward yourself!

As a member of The IIA, you already know the value you receive through our advocacy efforts, educational and networking opportunities, as well as publications and periodicals; all devoted entirely to the profession of internal auditing. By sharing this with your non-IIA colleagues and encouraging their participation, you can help strengthen the profession around the globe!

Get Involved!

Fellow NOVA IIA Chapter Members,

Getting involved in the NOVA IIA chapter can lead to wonderful opportunities and rewarding experiences.  Volunteering is a great way to meet knowledgeable professionals, contribute to the internal auditing profession, network, develop leadership skills, share ideas, and receive exposure to professional issues.  Please click here to learn more about the various Chapter positions. The chapter is always actively seeking volunteers throughout the chapter year, so please take a moment to review the various roles, responsibilities, and descriptions to decide if this is an opportunity that you would like to make a commitment with.  If now is not the right time for you to volunteer, please stay involved with the chapter by making a commitment to attend our monthly meetings and/or our training seminars during the year.

Thanks, and we look forward to working together in the coming Chapter year!
