I did it 4 times, I scored 589 to 595, it sucks. Gleim has nothing to do with the exam and all the posting about it, I think, is to sell it by the company. As for the IIA learning system only 10% will help. there is always new questions I never saw the same question repeat. I am tired of it I dont know what to do. Any ideas? Please help, I have one last chance to go.
It sounds like you may be memorizing answers to questions rather than learning the topics. You must read and understand the subject matter. Then it will not matter whether you have seen a question or not.
Part-3 is the most difficult of it as per my experience.
But never loose hope. I quaified CIA only using gliem. It is not because questions were there from gliem. as per my experience only 10% questions might be from gliem.
The only thing u have to get from gliem study material is concept. Try to get teh concept from gliem only. When u take exam always be relax. Apply your knowldge on each question. i strongly beleive that u will be able to do it this time. Even if u don't know the answer, try to apply concept on it rauther than depending on fluke.
Just relax and go for the last attempt with confidence. if u can achieve 595, u can achieve 600 and it will not be difficult.
Do you have questions bank from Gleim to sell ?? I am preparing on IIA materials but I would be really interested in buying new material from you. May you be interested, could you please contact me at:
TanTan I know first hand what you are going through. I took the exam 4 times prior to today. I passed part three today Final on try 5. I used Gliem 16th edition the first two tries got a 596 and 532. The third and fourth tries I added IIA software got a 532 and 596. By May I was out of ideas until I came to these boards and read someone elses story that mirrored mine. On the 5th attempt they used the Exam Matrix software. I thought why not so I added it to the mix. At first I didn't like it because it was difficult to navigate through. As I got use to it I found that there explanations for questions were better. I can say for my 5th attempt I knew concepts and not questions. I started the Exam Matrix software July 7th and combined it with the other two and BAM August 10th I passed! I hope you do well.
Took Part 3 this morning...and failed! I got a 569. That is not even close to passing.
My takeaways from this morning's test. There were not very many computational questions. Maybe 5-7, and they were very basic calculations - nothing as detailed as Gleim practice questions. And the ratio questions were easy.
There was a lot of IT questions, but since I had read on this board from everyone saying IT was a strong focus, I studied Ch 8-10 a lot. Maybe 2 of the IT questions were completely wacko, but the rest were concepts I had studied and felt comfortable with.
There were some questions I found challenging - but those were areas of my studying that were difficult for me.
Since this was the old 4-part exam, and since I have passed I, II and IV, I need to evaluate when I want to start studying to pass. Anyways, those are my thoughts.
Hi Humbled13, I am appearing for Part 3 in few weeks. I have passed 1 2 & 4. Is it possible for you to share Exam Matrix Software with me. You can write to me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Thanking you in advance for your time and efforts. Cheers Sam
