Hi All,

I am planning to write CIA Part II (old scheme) by end of this month. Any tips from people who have already cleared. Appreciate your valuable inputs. This is my last paper and want to finish off at the earliest.

Regards,
Makiia

I passed Part II in February. My advice...

Study, study, study. I used the Gleim Book and the online gleim software (not the test prep). I would read each chapter, do the questions, then go online and take the 20-part test *using* the book as I went through. This forced me to re-read parts of the material. Sometimes this process takes 2 days to complete for each Chapter. The first reading of the material takes a long time! I would have about 1.5 hours at work to dedicate to studying. And then in the evenings I would do a 30 minute refresher of the reading.

Biggest thing I learned was...when you are doing the m/c questions. Read the wrong answers and their explanations. If the correct answer is A), you should be able to look at B, C & D and be able to explain what they are and why they are incorrect for the question.

Part I, II and IV would take me about 3-4 weeks studying like the above to prepare for the test. I wouldn't sign up to take the test until I personally felt 80% confident I knew the material. And then the days leading up to the exam would be me testing/rereading chapters that were difficult for me.

When you say read the chapter/material was that in the book or the online summaries that Gleim creates (as the focus points of the chapter)?
I was told in the 17th edition by Gleim to just focus on the online Outline....is that what you did or did you actually read the physical book and outline?
