I am interested in the group's insights on the use of "conforms with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing" (1321) and (specifically) on whether this phrase applies to "audit projects" as well as (or as distinct from) the "internal audit activity"?

Can we indicate that audits are carried out "in accordance with the Internal Standards fr the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing" if we intend to demonstrate that we aim to follow IIA standards, notwithstanding the results of external and internal reviews?

If we used tool 17 and tool 19 of Quality Assurance and Improvement Program and found that our audit activity is in conformance with the IIA's Standards then their is no harm to mention regarding conformance.
