A question as to how long do companies retain error or acces log type of data? This question came up this week and I couldn't find anything in resource documentation that talked specifically about this kind of data. One recomendation from someone who dealt with this at another company gave the example of the company holding this kind of logged data for 90 days. The 6 months prior would be archived. Anything older than 6 months was purged. So basically the company would hold the two previous 90 day data in archive form, while the most recent 1 to 90 days would be building up. Hope this makes sense. Thanks for any input you may have.
