We are a small audit shop (8 auditors of which 3 are IT auditors). In order meet new report turn around goals-- can another senior auditor review workppaers, rather than the director/CAE signing off on each one (in Teammate)? We would have the Director sign-off on every issue/action plan and the report. It would be up to the Director to review which ever workpapers they wanted in order to sign-off on the issues/report, but not necessarily every workpaper. Would this be an acceptable practice?
