Hi. New to the forum (sort of - forgot my password from a few years back so set it up again!). I now work for a non-profit school as the Chief Financial Officer. We received a small grant to set up an incubator business to sell crafted items made by students and possibly members of the community in the future on eBay. The intent is to teach local students, parents, etc., how to use the internet to market their crafts.

All of that is wonderful, but now they're at the point where they want a bank account set up and are getting ready to implement this. It's time to establish policies and procedures with appropriate controls.

I am not concerned with profit being an issue because there is not likely to ever be significant profit that could jeopardize our 501c3 status. Any fees that might be charged in the future would go towards making the program, which is a learning benefit in itself, self sustaining.

I've already come up with a list of issues that should be addressed like return policy, timing and documentation for disbursement of funds, fees, who pays for materials, etc.

I am wondering if any of you have run across a similar operation and have a working policy/procedure I could use for reference?

Thanks for any suggestions.
