Welcome to the IIA Guyana Chapter

IIA Guyana is an International Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors (The IIA). The IIA is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.

IIA Guyana Mission
The mission of IIA–Guyana is to provide dynamic leadership to advocate, promote, and serve the profession of internal auditing in Guyana.

IIA Guyana Vision
The vision of IIA–Guyana is to be recognized as the leading professional internal audit association in Guyana.

Advocates for Sound Governance, Controls and effective Risk Management Practices.

Scholarship
The IIA Guyana Chapter is committed to growing the profession and making the dreams of those aspiring for a career or leadership role in Internal Audit a reality.

The Chapter is pleased to offer at least one scholarship annually. This includes:

1. One year paid membership
2. Free CIA Material
3. Exam Fee

Awards In recognition of outstanding contributions in Internal Auditing, the IIA Guyana Chapter will be issuing awards annually at its end of year function. Peers can nominate their awardees and let us know what makes him or her a suitable candidate. The Chapter in recognition of outstanding services, have over time awarded their members who have volunteered their services to the Chapter. The criteria for awards is usually set by the Awards Committee. Look out for the next season!
