New IFRS and XBRL Courses
As capital markets globalize and shift toward unified financial reporting standards, organizations will face increased challenges and opportunities posed by changes associated with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and eXtensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL).
The SEC took another significant step Friday November 14 in their proposed transition to IFRS when the commission released for public comment the proposed roadmap that would allow U.S. companies to prepare financial statements using IFRS. To respond, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and Deloitte are collaborating on an educational alliance to train internal audit professionals on IFRS and XBRL, enabling them to address the myriad of risks associated with the conversion to these standards in their organizations.
