Mark Arning

New York Life Insurance Co. recently named Mark Arning, CIA, CISA, as general auditor. He succeeds Tom Warga, CIA, who retired after 36 years of service to the company. Arning will oversee the corporate audit department and have a direct reporting relationship to New York Life's President and CEO Ted Mathas, as well as to the audit committee. He joined the company in 1978 and held positions of increasing responsibility leading to his election as senior vice president and deputy general auditor in 2006. Arning serves on several IIA committees and is an active member of The IIA-New York Chapter.

Lisa Hauser

Lisa Hauser is the partner-in-charge of the Risk Services Practice and Corporate Governance of Virchow, Krause & Co. in Minneapolis, Minn. She specializes in enterprise risk management solutions and IT cost optimization services for the company. Before joining the organization in 2006, Hauser worked as managing director, Global Risk Management Consulting for MMC-Marsh and also as KMPG partner/managing director, Consulting. She is a member of The IIA-Twin Cities Chapter.

Stanley Perla

Stanley Perla, CPA, has joined Cornerstone Accounting Group (formerly known as The Schonbraun McCann Group), the only U.S. public accounting firm dedicated to the real estate industry, as managing partner. He was previously with Vornado Realty Trust where he was vice president and director of internal audit. Perla also has served as the national director and partner-in-charge of real estate accounting services for Ernst & Young. He also currently serves as director and audit committee chair for Madison Harbor Balance Strategies and American Mortgage Co. Perla is a member of The IIA-New Jersey Chapter.
