Register For GAM 2009

This year's General Audit Management (GAM) conference marks the 30th year of The IIA's prestigious gathering of chief audit executives and directors, audit committee and board members, and financial and executive management. The conference will be held March 16-18, 2009, at the new Gaylord National Resort and Conference Center in Landover, Md., just a few miles from Washington, D.C.

"The GAM conferences have always exceeded expectations and this year will be no different," says Ross Schmadebeck, IIA manager, Marketing Strategy and Relationships, Educational Programs. "From the renowned speakers to the concurrent sessions and networking opportunities, GAM continues to be our signature event for audit executives and management."

Keynote speakers include David Walker, former Comptroller General of the United States; Chris Matthews, host of MSNBC's Hardball, and Kirk Lippold, retired U.S. Navy Commander of the USS Cole. Sessions will cover topics including strategies for success, executive development, and IT solutions. The popular "Coffee Talk" sessions are also available, offering a more relaxed and informal discussion setting.

Be sure to mark your calendar to attend the special preview of David Walker's acclaimed documentary, "I.O.U.S.A.," on Sunday evening. Optional programs include a golf tournament at Renditions Golf Course, a taste of D.C., a bike tour of the monuments, and a Smithsonian-American History and Natural History Museum tour.

Schmadebeck recommends booking your reservations early, as last year's conference sold out quickly. To register, visit www.theiia.org/gam09.
