Art Stewart is an independent management consultant with more than 35 years of experience in internal audit, financial management, performance measurement, governance, and strategic policy planning. He previously served as a senior executive at Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat, Canada Revenue Agency, and Public Works and Government Services Canada.
Before retiring from the Canadian federal government, Stewart was the senior director of internal audit intelligence and liaison and senior advisor to both the comptroller general for Canada and the assistant comptroller general for internal audit.
Stewart is past president and treasurer of the Performance and Planning Exchange, a Canada-based learning and research organization dedicated to identifying and sharing best practices in the results-based management field.
