Government Audit Program Information for Organizations
Government agencies in Canada, the Caribbean, and the United States are eligible to participate in one of two IIA programs designed specifically to meet your unique needs as a government auditor. As a participant in the Government Audit Program (GAP), you will have access to professional standards, affordable training, and discounted products focused on your needs.
Effective July 1, 2009 group membership rates in Canada will increase according to the fees listed below. The Canadian dues increase has been instituted to further support the development of the Canadian Office and develop additional enhancements for our Canadian membership contingent.
Government Audit Group Membership
Government agencies of any size at the local, state, or federal level participate in this program as a group. The Government Audit Group Membership requires all of your individual internal audit staff members to participate and provides full IIA member benefits at reduced rates.
Base group fee for organizations in Canada: US $900
You can download the GAP flyer (PDF, 905KB) for more details of the program.
Added Value of Group Options
In addition to receiving full IIA benefits, participants in both group options are also granted a free annual Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Services membership for the CAE (US $100 value), as well as a complimentary annual Global Audit Information Network (GAIN) Benchmarking report* (US $225 value).
The CAE Services specialty membership section is designed exclusively to keep top internal audit executives up-to-speed on the latest news and guidance, provide opportunities to network with their peers, and deliver a direct pipeline to resources at The IIA. This specialty membership is automatically included for the CAE of any government agency participating in the GAP.
The GAIN Benchmarking report is the result of a comprehensive service that allows participants to compare audit department size, experiences, resources, and other metrics against similar government organizations. It can serve as an invaluable tool to outline short- and long-tern department planning.
