Attention Nonmember CIA Candidates - Membership Fee Waiver and Credit
Although a CIA candidate does not have to be a member of The IIA to obtain the certification, the lower registration and exam fees for members makes membership a benefit that we highly encourage you to consider.

Candidates who are applying for membership may take advantage of the member pricing when they register for the CIA program and exam parts. (However, The IIA reserves the right to change a candidate's registration to the nonmember pricing if the candidate does not apply for IIA membership within two weeks of submitting the CIA application.)

In addition, The IIA will waive the US $25 IIA membership application fee and offer up to US $35 credit toward the first year membership dues when a candidate applies for an IIA membership. These savings are in addition to the reduced CIA exam registration and exam fees that the nonmember will receive at the member pricing. To receive this credit, just select "Qualifying CIA exam registration" on your membership application under "Special Offers."

Free IIA Gift Membership Option
The IIA will award a first-year regular membership to any nonmember who attends an IIA headquarters-sponsored seminar or conference. By remitting the nonmember price upon registration, you are eligible for a free one-year gift membership. And by completing the registration form in its entirety and submitting it to The IIA, you signify your agreement for a free one-year gift membership. This offer is available to persons who have not held an IIA membership in the past 12 months.
