Being a chief audit executive in today's heavily scrutinized business environment means wearing a lot of hats and shouldering a lot of responsibility. The Institute of Internal Auditors' Chief Audit Executive (CAE) Services Program is designed to help you respond to today's business challenges, demands, and opportunities. As a member of this unique group, you will have all the resources you need to stay current with the most pressing auditing issues and stay connected with CAEs around the globe.

For purposes of this program, The IIA defines chief audit executive as any individual employed as the highest level internal auditor in an organization or major business segment. The CAE must report either directly or indirectly to a senior management executive or oversight function, such as an audit committee. Primary program services will be provided in an electronic delivery format via e-mail to ensure that you receive the information you need in a timely manner.

Certification
The Certified Internal Auditor® (CIA) certification is the only globally accepted designation for internal auditors and remains the standard by which individuals demonstrate their competence and professionalism in the internal auditing field. This esteemed designation distinguishes you from your peers, carries weight with internal staff and external clients, demonstrates your proficiency and commitment to professionalism, and lays a foundation for continued career improvement and advancement. Many of the programs offered through the CAE Services Program will help you either prepare for the CIA certification exam or fulfill the Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits required of CIA recipients. Plus, CAEs can take advantage of the CIA Testing-on-Demand Program.

CAE Bulletin: This periodic e-newsletter provides valuable and timely information regarding critical issues such as risk management, corporate governance, and related topics that affect you, your team, and your organization.

CAE Directory: This semi-annual electronic listing of CAE Services Program members will help you network with your peers in diverse industries around the world.

Networking: CAE Services Program members will have numerous opportunities for networking with other CAEs through local institutes and IIA-sponsored events.

Chief Audit Executive CIA Testing-on-Demand Program: Eligible CAEs have the option of taking the CIA exam outside the regular May and November testing cycles on a date and at a location that is convenient to you.

Information Network: Gain pertinent and relevant benchmarking information by participating in the Global Auditing Information Network (GAIN). First-time subscribers receive a US $50 discount their initial year.
