Awards for Chapters and Institutes
Below is a list of awards available with a brief description of each.
International Mastering Advocacy Program (IMAP)
This prestigious award program recognizes the advocacy efforts of IIA chapters and institutes to promote the profession.
Academic Relations Award
The purpose of this award is to recognize and reward outstanding contributions, publicize important developments, and encourage further development in internal auditing education. Nominations for this award are made by the Academic Relations Committee from submissions made by institutes. The deadline for submitting academic relations activities is May 15.
Membership Awards
The International Membership Committee encourages membership recruitment and retention at the chapter and institute level. The Global Institute Membership Awards are presented annually to recognize chapters and institutes that are charging ahead - with innovative techniques to recruit and retain members.
Donald E. Ricketts Research Award
The IIA Research Foundation offers annual awards to institutes submitting the best research projects during the year. Each project is evaluated on (1) quality of work, (2) interest and practical value, (3) topic originality, and (4) basis for further research.
Lawrence B. Sawyer Awards
The Lawrence B. Sawyer Awards provide an opportunity for IIA chapters and institutes to demonstrate their commitment to the CIA program and to the internal auditing profession.
