The IIA's 2009-2010 Chairman's Video
During the Institute of Internal Auditors' (IIA) 2009 Annual Meeting in Johannesburg, South Africa, Rod Winters, CIA, was elected to serve as The IIA's 2009-2010 Chairman of the Board. Inherent in this honor is the responsibility to demonstrate and advocate for the highest level of internal audit professionalism, to travel the world on behalf of the profession, and to serve as the official spokesperson for The IIA.
Winters has chosen "Achieving Our Potential" as his theme for the year and for his chairman's video. This video allows The IIA to showcase his message, urging all internal auditors to achieve and fulfill their potential to bring unique value to the board room, protect stakeholders of organizations everywhere, and perform to the highest degree of proficiency, professionalism and ethics.

The video is an excellent tool to use when promoting and talking about the internal audit profession. Here are some ideas:
- Play the video at membership meetings to acquaint your members with the chairman and key IIA messages.

- Encourage members to share it with their audit committee members and management to validate IIA membership value.
