Presenter Biography: Moderator: Chelle F. Adams, CPA

Chelle Adams has significant accounting, internal audit, and gaming experience. During her professional career, she has served approximately 20 commercial, riverboat, and tribal casinos in eight states. Chelle brings a depth of gaming expertise from her time spent at a Big 4 accounting firm in which she served a wide range of gaming clients.  Her gaming experience includes adjusted gross receipt audits, operational audits, and working closely with both regulators and operators.  In addition, Adams has helped several public companies comply with Sarbanes-Oxley regulations, performed integrated risk assessments, and executed numerous specialty internal audit engagements, including cost recovery and continuous improvement. In 2008, Adams was recognized by the St. Louis Business Journal as one of St. Louis' Most Influential Minority Business Leaders. Chelle currently serves on the Board of the IIAs Gaming Audit Group.

 


 
Presenter Biography: Panelist: Daniel Holmes, CIA, CPA

Daniel Holmes is responsible for the day-to-day management and supervision of AGR and MICS agreed-upon procedure audits, consulting services, and internal control reviews. His specific experience is highlighted by his supervision of a property opening, ensuring regulatory compliance and assisting established clients in their implementation of new promotional play systems. Holmes is responsible for coordinating the research and publication of various industry updates, including the nationally recognized Commercial and Tribal Gaming Stats publication.


 
Presenter Biography: Panelist: Rick Arpin, CPA

Rick Arpin is responsible for oversight of the companys Finance Shared Services Center, external reporting, and accounting policies. Before joining MGM Resorts in 2002, he was with the Las Vegas office of Arthur Andersen, where his audit and consulting clients included many of the major gaming operators. Arpin was also instrumental in training and firm policy matters related to gaming. He is a past member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA's) Financial Reporting Executive Committee. He also served on the task force that oversaw a major overhaul of the AICPAs Gaming Audit Guide.  


 
Presenter Biography: Panelist: John B. Page

John Page has more than 20 years of experience in all facets of the gaming industry, including Native American casinos, gaming suppliers, technology companies, commercial casinos, and regulatory agencies. He is highly skilled in the effective management of audits, reviews, internal audit services, internal control design and reviews, and anti-money laundering consulting and testing for his clients. Page's skills also include services to multinational U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission registrants. He is a national technical expert for gaming industry matters and was the firm's representative on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants task force responsible for writing the Gaming Audit & Accounting Guide.
