GET INTO THE FLOW

In Amsterdam, The Netherlands
July 8-11, 2007

The Dutch are famous for their water management. They have succeeded in taking back land from the water and have a highly ingenious system in place to protect their country against flooding. When you visit the Netherlands, you see water flowing in rivers and canals almost everywhere.

Like the water flowing through our beautiful country and touching every single part of it, The IIA International Conference offers you a flow of information touching upon all elements of the internal audit domain. The Institute of Internal Auditors - Netherlands invites you to join the flow of the 2007 International Conference of The Institute of Internal Auditors.

THE FLOW OF PROGRESS THROUGH SHARING
The internal audit profession can be linked to water and the flow of water in many ways. Audit results flow through all departments of a company and can be clarifying or even purifying. Global professional standards demand that internal auditors work transparently and that their reports be crystal clear. Internal audit results can be used as dams to protect a company from the wild ocean of risks or as a bridge to connect aspects that are separated by turbulent waters.

The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is the acknowledged leader, recognized authority, and chief educator for the internal audit profession worldwide. Established in 1941, The IIA serves over 120,000 members from more than 120 countries in internal auditing, governance, internal control, IT auditing, education, and security.

The world leader in certification, education, research, and technological guidance for the profession, The Institute ...

  • Sets the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing and provides various levels of accompanying guidance.
  • Certifies professionals through the globally recognized Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and specialty certifications in government, control self-assessment, and financial services.
  • Presents leading-edge conferences and seminars for professional development and Web-based training.
  • Produces forward-looking educational products.
  • Offers quality assurance reviews, benchmarking, and consulting services.
  • Creates growth and networking opportunities for specialty groups.

In support of quality, professionalism, and ethical practices, The Institute provides internal audit practitioners, executive management, boards of directors, and audit committees with guidance on internal auditing and governance best practices. In doing so, it lives up to its motto, "Progress Through Sharing."
