A Quality Assurance and Improvement Program (QAIP) assesses the efficiency and effectiveness of the internal audit activity and identifies opportunities for improvement through evaluation of internal audit's conformance with the
International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (Standards), the Definition of Internal Auditing, and the Code of Ethics. The two major components of a QAIP are an internal and external assessment. The Audit Executive Center's CAE Facilitated Solutions are the resources for you. While not being able to solve all CAE problems or even find the best solution for your specific situation, Audit Executive Center members, based on their membership level, have access to CAE expertise at IIA headquarters with in-depth audit practitioner experience and knowledge.
