Insights and Challenges Faced by a School District CAE


​​​John Wszelaki is joined by Gwinnett County Public School Chief Audit Executive Glenda Ostrander to discuss many of the unique challenges her department faces in auditing for a public school district.​ Challenges include transportation, food service, athletic funding, budgeting, fraud investigations, and many other areas unique to a school environment. Glenda also elaborates on how her staff stays current on emerging issues and up to date with all their requires training on a limited budget and how valuable the Public Sector Audit Center has been in providing valuable resources to government audit professionals.
