Dear Members
I wanted to take a moment to thank all of you who joined us—whether on campus at DeSales or tuning in virtually—for our recent all-day seminar. We dove into some important and fascinating topics, from the latest on Global Internal Audit Standards and the ins and outs of ransomware psychology (DARVO), to the impact of AI and lessons from securities fraud history. We also explored internal controls and got valuable insights from the FBI’s fraud investigations team.
We hope you’ll join us for our Ethics events. John Gill will be presenting “The Role of Ethics in Fraud Prevention” in November and discussing past interviews he had. Mike Levy will be presenting “Ethics in the Age of Algorithms: What Internal Auditors Must Know”on December 2nd where you will learn how AI is impacting audit ethics and gain practical insights. Look for the chapter email for more information or go to the Chapter Website to register and secure your spot!
One big announcement is that the new Organizational Resilience Topical Requirement is coming soon, and it’s going to be key for helping our organizations stay strong through uncertain times. The draft is open for public comment until November 17, so if you have ideas or feedback, now’s your chance to help shape how this gets rolled out in 2026.
Public Comment Period | 2024 Topical Requirements
Thanks again for being part of such an engaged group. Looking forward to more great events together!
Thanks for your membership—I hope to see you at an upcoming event!
