Wenxiu Zhang, CISA

Wenxiu Zhang is the 2025-26 Director, Audit Committee (AC) of The IIA.
Wenxiu is a highly accomplished professional with more than a decade of distinguished experience in United Nations auditing. Since 2013, she has held successive roles as a Principal Auditor and Team Leader, leading and completing seven United Nations audit projects with exceptional performance.
With over 20 years of extensive experience in internal auditing, Wenxiu currently serves as the Acting Dean of the International Joint Audit Institute at Nanjing Audit University, where she leads the development of auditing programs and drives progress in the advancement of auditing discipline construction.
Wenxiu is deeply committed to both theoretical research and practical applications in international and internal auditing. She teaches a broad range of auditing courses, including Internal Auditing, Auditing Techniques and Methods, and others, to undergraduate, postgraduate, and international students. Her academic contributions are substantial, with over 40 published academic papers and three monographs, helping to shape the field of auditing.
Wenxiu holds a Doctorate in Management from Nanjing University. She is recognized as a Senior External Audit Expert for the United Nations Board of Auditors and is a Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA).
