Victor Velazquez

Victor Velazquez is the Executive Vice President of Global Strategy, Membership, and Brand at The IIA.

Victor brings more than 25 years of senior leadership experience across mission-driven associations and Fortune 150 companies. He is skilled in member engagement, brand expansion, digital innovation, and enterprise-wide transformation.

Before joining The IIA, Victor served as Senior Vice President of Digital Transformation, Product, and Experience at UNFI, where he oversaw a multibillion-dollar portfolio of eCommerce platforms. He led strategy development and managed a global delivery team executing a digital roadmap to reimagine customer experience, drive topline growth, and improve margins.

Prior to UNFI, Victor held several senior leadership roles across a variety of associations, including serving as Chief Executive Officer of the Maryland State Bar Association, as well as leadership positions at the DC Bar and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition, he has served as an advisor to multiple organizations, including The IIA, focusing on accelerating growth, sharpening competitive positioning, and building scalable operating models.

Victor holds an MBA from the Wake Forest University School of Business and a Master’s in Accountancy from New England College. He serves on the board of the DC Bar Foundation, which awards more than $35 million annually in grants to support individuals who cannot afford legal services. Previously, he was CEO of the Maryland Bar Foundation and a board member of the UNFI Foundation, an organization focused on empowering equitable & sustainable food systems.
