Helen Li, CIA

Helen Li is the 2026-27 Director, Global Guidance on The IIA’s Global Board of Directors. She is a Group Chief Auditor at The Bank of East Asia Limited and previously held senior executive positions at KPMG and Bank of China (Hong Kong).

Helen has served on several global committees of The IIA, including the International Internal Audit Standards Board, the Professional Certifications Board, and the Internal Audit Vision 2035 Special Committee. She is also a past president of The Asian Confederation of Institutes of Internal Auditors.

She is a frequent speaker at professional conferences and serves as a visiting professor at Nanjing Audit University. She also contributes to governance discussions through articles published across both traditional and social media.

Helen holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration and a Master of Science in Finance from The Chinese University of Hong Kong. She is a Certified Internal Auditor, and a fellow member of The Hong Kong Institute of Directors, The Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants, and The Association of Chartered Certified Accountants.
