Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.The Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) serves the greater Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of Northeastern PA. The Chapter has over 60 current members. Meetings are typically held in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre area of PA or virtually via Zoom.
The Northeastern Pennsylvania Chapter was formed in 1982 and is part of District 1 of the Eastern Region-North America. One of the strongest elements of our success has been the Officers and Board of Governors. These dedicated individuals have contributed to assuring that the strength of the individual members is reflected in the cohesiveness of the group as a whole.
