Conference returns to in-person format for first time since 2019
LAKE MARY, Fla. (February 15, 2023) — The Institute of Internal Auditors - (IIA) - the internal audit profession's leader in standards, certifications, education, research, and technical guidance worldwide – has announced that it will host its Global Student Conference (formerly known as the Internal Audit Student Exchange) on April 16-18 in Orlando. This is the first time the event is being offered in person since 2019.
The Global Student Conference will bring together internal audit students, educators, employers, and IIA Academic Relations Chairs from around the world for three days of discussion about – and preparation for – the future of the internal audit profession.
This year’s conference features two distinct learning tracks (one for students and one for educators), with keynote presenters and topics specifically geared towards developing students and internal audit educational programs respectively.
Student attendees will be able to:
- Expand their knowledge and skills to succeed as an internal auditor;
- Participate in an immersive Case Competition;
- Network with peers, educators, and employers;
- Interview with hiring organizations.
Educator attendees will be able to:
- Learn about best practices in the classroom and how to incorporate them;
- Gain insights into innovations from industry leaders and key stakeholders;
- Stay abreast of current trends;
- Interact face-to-face with peers from around the world.
Conference Details:
The 2023 Global Student Conference will be held at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Resort Conference Center in conjunction with The IIA’s Leadership Academy. The IIA has arranged a special attendee room rate for GSC attendees at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Transportation between the hotels will be provided.
