Aly Farooqui
Chief Risk Officer - IBM Cloud for Regulated Industries

Aly Farooqui is Chief Risk Officer for IBM Cloud for Regulated Industries. Aly is responsible for strategies and programs that de-risk our client’s cloud and digital transformation journey and experience. As part of his responsibilities, Aly provides strategic leadership over the IBM Cloud Framework for Financial Services with a focus on security controls, risk management and continuous compliance, enabling processing and the safe and secure movement of data for clients. Aly also has executive responsibility for IBM Financial Services Cloud Council.
Aly brings global financial services technology, cybersecurity, risk management and regulatory expertise to the team. Prior to joining IBM, Aly was the Chief Audit Executive at Fiserv, a Fortune 500 fintech and payments company. In this role, Aly was responsible for providing assurance to the company’s Audit Committee of the Board, executive team, clients and regulators over the effectiveness of Fiserv’s internal controls ecosystem and risk management practices, covering commercial banking products serving over 6,000 banks and credit unions. Aly also served as Fiserv’s Head of Third-Party Assurance Program and Regulatory Affairs, interfacing heavily with regulators including FFIEC, OCC, FDIC, CFPB and state agencies.
Previously, Aly served as Fiserv’s Global Head of Technology and Cybersecurity Audit, working across the company on various digital transformation initiatives, including public cloud risk management and assurance strategy and enablement.
