Dana Lawrence (CIA, CRMA, CFSA, CAMS, CRVPM, CCA) is the Sr. Director of Fintech Compliance at Pacific West Bank and Board Member for Technology Association of Oregon. With 20 years in financial services and technology, Lawrence has spent the last 10 years in governance leadership positions building fintechs (first neobank - Simple, fintech for SMBs- Azlo, fintech aggregator - Sila), working productively with regulators and navigating challenges and opportunities. In her role at Pacific West Bank, she established a sound banking as a service program that prioritizes a close relationship with each fintech partner and strong regulatory compliance outcomes.
Lawrence is a global community builder and thought leader on governance in emerging technology, speaking frequently to various professional groups (IIA, ISACA, ACAMS, ACFE), tradeshows (Money2020, Fintech Meetup), government and private sector. She’s provided live training to over 80,000 professionals, averaging 25 speaking engagements per year. In 2022, she launched a popular LinkedIn Live show called “In Fintech We Build Trust” which is dedicated to the trust builders in fintech, Web3, payments and traditional financial services, featuring the best of the best globally for educational conversations. In 2024, she was shortlisted as a global Governance, Risk and Compliance Innovator of the year. In 2025, she launched a Linkedin Live show called “The Fintech Bridge” highlighting leaders and having conversations about the future of financial technology.

Bukkie Adewuyi, MBA, CPA-CGA

Bukkie serves as the Vice President of Internal Audit and Risk Advisory at Aritzia, bringing over twenty-one years of professional experience in internal audit, risk management, finance, and strategy. A seasoned certified auditor (CIA & CISA) and chartered accountant (CPA-CGA & ACCA), she has built a distinguished career in financial and operational controls and advisory.
Before joining Aritzia, Bukkie spent more than three years at Prospera Credit Union, first as VP of Internal Audit, and later as VP of Finance and Business Intelligence. In these roles, she collaborated with leadership teams to drive operational initiatives aligned with strategic objectives, particularly in organizational health and enhancing member and employee experiences.
Her expertise is deeply rooted in consulting, having spent fifteen years in South Africa working with major audit firms—including PwC, Deloitte, and Grant Thornton—where she thrived as a Partner and Director. Her work focused on strengthening internal controls, proactively managing risks, and embedding strong corporate governance practices across industries.
Beyond her corporate accomplishments, Bukkie is widely recognized for her community leadership and advocacy. Since immigrating to Canada in 2019, she has dedicated herself to supporting immigrants, minority groups, minority-owned businesses, and women through various organizations. Her commitment to social impact has earned her numerous accolades, including the "Inspiration Award" from Dress for Success Vancouver (2024) for leadership and community contributions. She was recognized as a "YWCA Woman of Distinction" (2023), where she raised $10,000 to support women in childcare and early education. She was part of the "Top 50 Female Leaders in Vancouver" list by Women We Admire (2022).
Bukkie actively serves on boards and committees, including the Black Opportunity Fund and Impact Toolbox. She is also a member of the Women in Business Committee of the Surrey Board of Trade and the International Women’s Forum (IWF). Additionally, she plays a key role in organizing the Annual Metro Vancouver Black Business Expo, an event designed to amplify the contributions of minority-owned enterprises. Through these initiatives, she champions policy discussions and meaningful change in Canada's economic landscape.
Academically, Bukkie holds an MBA from the University of South Africa and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria.
Above all, she is a devoted mother of three and a proud wife, finding joy and inspiration in her family.
