David Petrisky, CIA, CISA, CPA, CRMA
David Petrisky has been the Director-Professional Standards since Feb. 2023, when the public comment period for the new Standards began. He started at The IIA in 2020 as Director-Professional Guidance developing Global Technology Audit Guides.
Additionally, since 2019, he has been a part-time instructor of internal auditing in the Masters of Accounting program at Georgia State University, an IAEP school.
Before joining The IIA, Petrisky worked in internal auditing and finance roles in telecom, mass transit, and fintech organizations.

Zameer is the Managing Director and Chief Audit Executive at Accenture, reporting to the Audit Committee of the Board and responsible for overseeing the enterprise-wide risk universe for a Fortune Global 500 company with over 800,000 employees and $65 billion in annual revenue. With 25 years of experience in internal audit, enterprise risk, compliance, and forensic accounting—including the past 20 years at Accenture—he has built and led high-performing audit teams across multiple geographies.
Driven by a passion for innovation and a deep interest in leveraging advanced technologies, Zameer has been instrumental in transforming Accenture’s Internal Audit function into a world-class, globally integrated capability. Under his leadership, the function is recognized for adopting advanced audit methodologies and cutting-edge technologies—including artificial intelligence—to deliver real-time, dynamic risk coverage. It is consistently rated “world class” by independent external assessors and operates in full conformance with Global Internal Audit Standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA).
