NEO IIA, Ohio Society of CPAs & Northeast Ohio Financial Executives International Joint Meeting
Northeast Ohio IIA is happy to announce that we are hosting, in conjunction with the Ohio Society of CPAs and Northeast Ohio Financial Executives International. Please join us for 4 hours of engaging learning with 4 CPE credits (details on pg. 2), an industry networking dinner and a Cleveland Cavs game.

The Northeast Ohio IIA Chapter was established in 1961 and exists as a service to our local and visiting IIA members.
Established in 1941, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is an international professional association with global headquarters in Lake Mary, Florida, USA. The IIA is the internal audit profession's global voice, recognized authority, acknowledged leader, chief advocate, and principal educator. Generally, members work in internal auditing, risk management, governance, internal control, information technology audit, education, and security.

We are pleased to be a 2023 Building Awareness Champion!
During Internal Audit Awareness Month in May, we shared our passion for internal auditing, promoting the profession through a variety of events and campaigns designed to inform and engage, raise awareness, and help stakeholders understand the value of internal audit in their organizations.

Dear Members & Friends,
Thank you to everyone who joined us in-person for our March meeting at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse, which was held in conjunction with the Ohio Society of CPAs and Financial Executives International! The meeting was immediately followed by dinner/networking and featured a thrilling come from behind victory by the Cleveland Cavaliers over the first-place Boston Celtics! A big thank you to all of our presenters! The event included presentations from Harold Silverman (Institute of Internal Auditors), Scott Wiley (Ohio Society of CPAs), and Allison Ikeda & Eric Flanders (BMO).
In April, we will once again be offering OSCPA Ethics training to our members. This event will feature a CPA PSR requirement compliant ethics presentation by the Ohio Society of CPAs and a panel discussion presentation by MCPC, which will bring together the realms of IT Asset Management (ITAM) and Cybersecurity for a total of 4 CPE hours for the afternoon. This training will be held in-person at the Embassy Suites in Independence.
Looking forward to May, we will be partnering with KPMG and local Chief Audit Executives (CAEs) to bring you our 6th Annual CAE Roundtable on May 16. This year the event will be held in conjunction with the Meonske Professional Development Conference on the campus of Kent State University in Kent, OH. NEO IIA and other local professional organizations have been invited to participate in the conference and make it one of the largest CPE events in Northeast Ohio in 2024! The Meonske conference is two days, May 16th and 17th, with opportunities to earn additional CPE outside of the IIA training offered.
Our annual New Auditor Training will be held on Friday, June 7 at the Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District. An event announcement will go out in the coming weeks.
Additionally, our annual Northeast Ohio IIA Member Appreciation Golf Outing will be held on Friday, June 28 at Coppertop in Valley City, OH, with registration and doughnuts and coffee beginning at 7:30 a.m. You can obtain balls and tees from the clubhouse at that time. We are in the process of seeking sponsorships for this eagerly awaited event!
