From the vantage point of 2019, The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) had much to celebrate. Another year of remarkable accomplishment, capping a “Decade of Progress.” A few short months later, the new year would present The IIA with one of its greatest challenges ever: COVID-19. What is clear from the 2019 annual report is how a foundation built on a decade of major milestones prepared The IIA to act swiftly in support of the profession as it rises to the challenge.
