The Institute of Internal Auditors of Rwanda (IIA-Rwanda) was founded and signed a Memorandum of Understanding with IIA Global in 2012. IIA Rwanda is legally registered in Rwanda by Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) under the Law Number: 04/2012 of 17/02/2012 governing the organization and functioning of National Non-Governmental Organizations with RGB Decision No: 028/NGO/2015 conferring Legal Personality upon Institute of Internal Auditors issued in May 2015.

IIA Rwanda Chapter 348 is an Affiliate of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) Global and a Member of the African Federation of Institutes of Internal Auditors (AFIIA).

Vision, Mission and Objectives

IIA Rwanda’s Vision is to elevate the Internal Audit Profession in Rwanda such that it is recognized as indispensable to a flourishing environment of Governance, Risk Management and Internal Control.

Our Mission is to provide a Professional Development Forum for Current & Future Internal Auditors through Dynamic Leadership, Mobilization, Seminars, Workshops, Training and Certifications in Rwanda. 

Our Objective is to build the profession of Internal Auditing and enhance its credibility by promoting a flourishing environment for Governance, Risk Management and Internal Control serving both Private and Public Sectors in the Country.
