It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Syrian Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA Syria).
The establishment of IIA Syria represents an important milestone in our commitment to advancing the internal audit profession and strengthening governance, transparency, and accountability across organizations in Syria.
We firmly believe that internal auditing is no longer merely a traditional control function. It has evolved into a strategic partner that helps organizations strengthen governance, manage risks, improve performance, protect resources, and create sustainable value.
Becoming part of the global network of The Institute of Internal Auditors represents a significant opportunity to connect Syrian professionals with the international internal audit community and provide access to globally recognized standards, professional certifications, educational resources, and continuous professional development opportunities.
Our ambition is to establish a strong and inclusive professional community that brings together internal auditors and specialists in governance, risk management, internal control, and compliance from various sectors.
We are committed to supporting the development of national professional competencies, encouraging knowledge sharing, strengthening institutional practices, and fostering cooperation with local, regional, and international professional organizations.
We also believe that investing in professional capabilities and strengthening governance practices are essential foundations for institutional resilience, economic recovery, and sustainable development.
I warmly invite internal auditors, governance professionals, risk management specialists, and compliance practitioners throughout Syria to join our Institute, participate in our initiatives, and contribute to shaping the future of the profession.
Together, we aspire to build a strong internal audit profession that promotes integrity, accountability, professional excellence, and sustainable value creation.
