Welcome to the IIA San Francisco Chapter

The IIA is the leader in innovative internal audit training. Our San Francisco Chapter provides quality, engaging and facilitated learning opportunities for our members and customers. We are committed to offering a variety of events, delivering the very best in internal audit training and networking opportunities. We have more than 950 Members in the SF IIA Chapter with over 100 new members joined in 2020.

Chapter Officers

Academic Relations developed a reenergized strong relationship with San Francisco State University (SFSU), including:
Appointed two Governors for participation on the SFSU Accounting Advisory Board Establishing a basis for student memberships and scholarships

​Welcome San Francisco IIA Members,

I am humbled and pleased t​o be your President for 2021 - 2022.

Our Gold Chapter continued to build a strong foundation in 2020. Under our prior President, we achieved much despite an uncertain year. Highlights include:

• A recognition of the Covid-19 economic impact, and accordingly free virtual events
• Unprecedented cross-chapter coordination - An updating of governance practices, regulatory filings, and bylaws
• Reinvigoration of university relations.

I am very much looking forward to 2021 and to working with you where our focus will be:

• Adopting Institute of Internal Audit best practices, including tools for managing our events
• Further expansion and strengthening of university relations
• Continuing to advance and enhance our digital presence
• Encouraging, highlighting, and celebrating member certification and volunteer achievements.

I also look forward to continuing the great work of past president, the San Francisco Board of Governors, and our many member volunteers.

We welcome program/chapter input and volunteerism from every member. Please do not hesitate to contact me so we may serve you better.
