Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) serves Colorado Springs and Southern Colorado. The Chapter has over 90 members.
We are back, advancing the audit profession! After a pause during COVID, the chapter is looking to restart and reconnect!
Through involvement in this chapter, you'll gain valuable contacts, grow your network, learn new skills, and receive continuing education requirements towards your CIA.
Help shape the internal audit community in Southern Colorado! Share what you most look for and value in your IIA chapter. Send your input and ideas to the Board, and let us know how you would like to be involved.
Our chapter has been advancing the audit profession in Southern Colorado since it was founded in February 2008. We welcome you to explore how the Colorado Springs Chapter can support and be a resource for you as your navigate through the audit profession.
We invite you to attend our upcoming meetings where we have relevant, topical speakers and offer an opportunity to build relationships with fellow professionals. In addition, we will sponsor events for professional education and career advancement.
A great way to gain more insight and further foster relationships with your peers is to become a chapter volunteer. We welcome any and all levels of involvement. Please contact any of the Chapter Officers for more information.
The success of the Colorado Springs Chapter is a result of the efforts of many past and current volunteers. Our goal is for the Chapter to have a team of volunteers representing the diverse backgrounds, experiences, and demographics of our professional community. We need your help and participation to achieve this goal! Get involved and help us keep the Chapter strong and vibrant.
Volunteer opportunities provide an opportunity to develop and demonstrate skills in leadership, marketing, project management, treasury, communication, and outreach. Reach out, join the team, and become part of the chapter’s history.
If you are interested in becoming a part of the leadership team – the IIA Colorado Springs Chapter Board of Governors/Officers – now is the time! Nominate yourself or another exceptional candidate by emailing rachana.kc@coloradosprings.gov or chapter339@theiia.org.
The Chapter is committed to increasing awareness within and educating the next generation of Internal Auditors. To aid in that mission, Colorado Springs Chapter partners with local universities and colleges. If you’re interested in partnering, reach out to us at chapter339@theiia.org.
Dear Colorado Springs Chapter Members,
What a crazy time we are living in – one hopefully never to be repeated. I hope you are each doing well and surviving all the things the pandemic has thrown at us. As auditors we tend to be a resilient bunch, so I hope this has served you well. I wanted to update you on what the board is working on our goals for this coming year.
Our biggest goal this year is to restart meetings so that we can re-connect and rebuild a thriving audit community, and provide networking opportunities, resources, relevant information and training. Our other goals for this year are:
We plan to share virtual seminars from IIA headquarters and other chapters. We also plan to hold local virtual events, as we look for ways to offer training in person as soon as we are able. Is there an area you're particularly passionate about or experienced in? Consider presenting it to your peers!
This chapter wouldn’t be a chapter without you, our members. I want to say thank you for your support to the chapter through your continued membership and involvement. We appreciate you!
On behalf of the 2021-2022 board, thank you for being a member!
Rachana KC
