The Baton Rouge Chapter of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) is one of three chapters serving Louisiana. The Baton Rouge Chapter has over 400 current members.

Welcome to the IIA Baton Rouge Chapter
The Baton Rouge Chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors is a professional association of internal auditors involved in promoting professional growth and progress for the practice of internal auditing. The Baton Rouge Chapter was incorporated in 1990 with activity back to 1975!
A part of the global IIA membership of over 200,000 auditors, our Chapter provides training and networking opportunities to internal audit professionals from Baton Rouge and the surrounding area through monthly luncheon meetings and several full- and half-day seminars throughout the Chapter year.
Chapter Advocacy Supporter
The 2026 IIA Advocacy Key recognizes U.S. chapters that have strengthened the internal audit profession through direct grassroots advocacy. This badge honors the chapter’s critical support of IIA Advocacy in advancing robust and coordinated engagement with key U.S. policymakers.

The Baton Rouge Chapter strives to support our members through a variety of scholarships and awards. Currently, we offer the following throughout the chapter year:
Certification Recognition
The Baton Rouge Chapter recognizes the effort and commitment required to earn the CIA certification. We are pleased to gift a certificate frame to active members who are newly certified and choose to receive one.
Student Scholarships
The Baton Rouge Chapter dedicates funds to award scholarships to active IIA student members whose goal is to pursue a career in internal audit. The number of recipients and award amounts may vary each cycle.

The Baton Rouge Chapter has earned Ruby status in the IIA's Chapter Achievement Program (CAP). This notable accomplishment came after attaining GOLD status for 20 years! This achievement level recognizes chapters who demonstrate a strong commitment to consistently serve members and the profession.
