Welcome to the IIA Madison Chapter
The Madison Chapter was formed on April 29, 1982 by a small group of members. It has grown over the years to the point of having over 200 members that we serve today.
The mission of our Chapter is to be the #1 Resource for Internal Audit Professionals in South Central Wisconsin. We achieve this is by providing quality training that our members can apply in their everyday job to make our area organizations more successful. We also host networking events periodically throughout the year to allow our local professionals to connect with each other. We encourage you to attend any one of our upcoming events and see how we can add value to your organization.
We also provide volunteer opportunities for those looking to grow professionally, give back to the profession and community, or just have fun and meet new people. We have a wide range of activities available for you at any level of time commitment.
If there is anything that we could do to be your #1 resource, please let us know. We are always happy to receive constructive feedback and will do our best to meet the needs of you and your organization.

Our Academic Relations Committee looks forward to connecting with students from colleges and universities in southern Wisconsin. Each year, we have a writing contest that allows students to learn and write about an internal audit topic.

Welcome all to the IIA Madison Chapter Website.
I want to extend a sincere thank you to our great group of governors and officers who volunteer their time so that we can provide quality programs, networking activities and outreach to the Madison District. We couldn’t do it without you.
We have started to plan great programs for the upcoming chapter year, but feel free to reach out with any feedback or suggestions. We are here to meet your training needs.
We have open board positions and need your time and skills to help us continue to serve the Madison area with quality service. As a bonus, you can earn up to 15 CPE’s through your volunteering activities. Please reach out to me or our other chapter board members if you have interest or questions in volunteering for our chapter.
Sincerely,
Mark Shikoski

The Chapter Achievement Program (CAP) is a recognition program for IIA chapters. It measures chapters activities and achievements, such as certain Chapter administration and reporting items, as well as various activities that promote the profession of internal auditing and member programs and activities. Each year, Chapters can earn Bronze, Silver, or Gold based on Chapter activities. Then there are longevity, or milestone, awards (Platinum, Ruby, Sapphire & Diamond) for chapters achieving Gold for a certain number of years. The Madison Chapter is currently a Sapphire Chapter (Gold for at least 25 years).
