The IIA to Host Free Webinars on April 18 Explaining Proposed Changes to Global Internal Audit Standards

LAKE MARY, Fla. (April 10, 2023) — The Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) – the internal audit profession's leader in standards, certifications, education, research, and technical guidance worldwide – is hosting two offerings of a free webinar on April 18 to share the details and potential impacts of the proposed Global Internal Audit StandardsTM, which are open for public review and comment until May 30. The two offerings of this webinar will cover the same content, and both are open to the public.

Experts and technical staff actively involved with the draft will describe notable changes to the Standards and give an overview of the public comment process, including tips for reviewing the draft and responding to the public comment survey. Presenters will elaborate on the organization of the Principles and Standards, new and changing requirements, and new sections such as “Considerations for Implementation” and “Considerations for Evidence of Conformance.” Attendees will learn how the changes will affect the internal audit profession and receive a brief overview of the IPPF Evolution project and next steps. Following the webinar, attendees will be better prepared to respond to the public comment survey.
