Internal Audit Foundation Letter From the IAF President

It is a tremendous honor to step into the role of President of the Internal Audit Foundation. Having served on the Board of Trustees over the past few years—most recently as Senior Vice President, Strategy—I have witnessed firsthand the Foundation’s incredible impact in advancing the profession and preparing future generations of internal auditors.

I want to thank Warren Stippich for his outstanding leadership and unwavering commitment. Under his guidance, the Foundation has made a step change in growth both in reach and relevance, and we are well-positioned to build on that momentum.

Over the past few years, we’ve significantly grown our Academic Alliance (formerly IAEP Program) reaching more than 150 colleges and universities worldwide joining our academic network, significantly strengthening the pipeline of future audit professionals.

We’ve also launched several new funding opportunities including the Global Student Conference Travel Grant, Global Grants and relaunching the Larry B. Sawyer Student Scholarship, helping students, educators and National Institutes and Chapters around the world gain access to meaningful opportunities and resources.

Our research continues to be a cornerstone of our work. With 16 globally focused reports released since 2022, we’ve provided insights on data analytics, fraud, data privacy, DEI, and the evolving risk landscape. The Vision 2035 Report, Global Risk in Focus series and our research on Generative AI are already shaping the way audit leaders approach strategy and transformation.

To all of our donors, partners, and supporters: thank you. Your generosity and commitment enable the Foundation to deliver on its mission and create lasting, global impact.

I’m excited for the journey ahead and look forward to working together to continue building a vibrant, future-ready profession.
